Roles

Building Surveyor

Is a professional person who provides advice on property and construction.

CDM Co-ordinator

Is a professional who is appointed to advise and assist the employer on how to comply with the requirements of the CDM Regulations.

Contract Administrator

Is a professional named within more traditional procurement contracts to act on behalf of the Employer to ensure the works are carried out correctly.

Employer’s Agent

Is a professional named within a Design and Build Contract to act on behalf of the Employer ensuring that the end product fulfils the Employer’s needs and requirements.

Expert Witness

Is a professional with experience and knowledge not normally possessed by the average person concerning a particular topic.

Party Wall Surveyor

Is a professional who specialises in dealing with the requirements of the Party Wall Act.

Professional Member MRICS

Is a professional surveyor who has completed the RICS’s Assessment of Professional Competence and continues to comply with the RICS’s stringent rules and regulations.

Project Manager

Is a professional responsible for leading a project from inception to execution.

Quantity Surveyor

Is a professional person working within the construction industry concerned with procurement, cost and contacts.
